Unrelenting War in an Alternate History

Dust Warfare is coming soon!

War has advanced swiftly and strangely in the Dust universe through the application of VK technology – a limitless source of energy in its simplest form and an unthinkable weapon in the wrong hands. Tanks have evolved into striding engines of destruction, able to traverse any terrain in all weather. Advanced weapons and armor are coming into use by all sides as the global conflagration burns ever hotter.

Deploy your troops and lead them to heroic victories in the uniquely engaging Dust Warfare! Fight for the future of the world in this tabletop miniatures game that uses the same outstanding miniatures as Dust Tactics and is set in Paolo Parente’s popular universe. Command a superpower in this game of ruthless strategic battles.

Fantasy Flight Games is thrilled to announce that the Dust Warfare: Core Rulebook will be available in the near future. We couldn’t be more excited to present Dust Warfare to gamers worldwide.

Dynamic features of Dust Warfare

One of the distinctive features of Dust Warfare is the Command phase. During this phase, each general has the opportunity to issue a limited amount of advance orders, making units move or attack preemptively. With these commands, eliminate enemies before they become a threat or take control of vital battlefield objectives. Invest your orders wisely, because units that activate in the Command phase receive one less action in the Unit phase, so plan your strategy accordingly. We’ll cover this intriguing phase of the game in more detail in coming previews.

In the Unit phase of Dust Warfare, you can counter your enemy’s actions through the innovative reaction system. Under certain circumstances, you can issue orders for a unit to fall back as powerful enemies try to overwhelm them, or order them to stand and deliver a wall of defensive fire. You can even order your soldiers to “Hit the Dirt!” and use whatever cover is available to hold your position. This interactive system lets you interrupt your opponent’s actions, giving you a chance to change the game at a moment’s notice.

While reactions offer commanders a chance to destroy developing threats, cunning generals also use the reaction system to outsmart their enemies. Feign an assault and trick the opposition into wasting valuable reactions to combat false threats, or draw the enemy into an ambush with a cleverly orchestrated bluff. You’ll need to be alert at all times. It’s likely your enemy will be trying to use the very same tactics against you, so stay vigilant…or face the grim consequences.

Build your own scenarios and armies

The Battles section of the book guides you through setting up the game board for play. The easy-to-use Battle Builder guidelines let you and your opponent quickly create a unique scenario. Then each commander can influence the battlefield conditions, objectives, and more by spending Scenario Points. With dozens of possible scenarios, every new conflict will be different from the last.

Dust Warfare also includes five pre-made scenarios that offer more narrative game play. These scenarios include exciting special rules, like night engagements or secret missions, which add additional challenges to the game.

Select your favorite bloc and build an army using the Axis and Allied platoon lists inside the Dust Warfare: Core Rulebook. These documents give you access to all of your favorite units you’ll recognize from Dust Tactics. While organizing your unstoppable force, be sure to purchase platoon upgrades like an additional hero or an improved command structure for your army, and customize your force even further.

The future of Dust Warfare

Future expansions and supplements expand Dust Warfare even further. Campaign Book “Zverograd,” for example, adds new rules and units for the Allies and Axis armies, and this book also contains the platoon list for the SSU, a bloc known for their lightning-fast assaults. Moreover, Dust Warfare will continue to use the same models as Dust Tactics, so when you buy a unit expansion, you are growing your force for two separate games!

Collide with familiar adversaries on a new battlefield in Dust Warfare, which will be available soon. With engaging and interactive gameplay, Dust Warfare is accessible for players new to tabletop wargaming, but offers strategic elements that challenge even the most battle-hardened veteran gamers.

Pre-order this much anticipated book from your local retailer, and check back here in the coming weeks for Dust Warfare for previews, strategy articles, and other exciting news.
