Recently, we announced the upcoming release of Arcana Exxet: Secrets of the Supernatural, the tome of magic for Anima: Beyond Fantasy. Loaded with information about the nature and origin of magic, as well as its practice in Gaïa, Arcana Exxet promises to be an essential supplement for every player with a Gifted character. The book introduces exciting details about theorems of magic, metamagic advantages, sub-paths, and invocations.

Still, the Gifted aren’t the only ones who can make use of supernatural secrets from Arcana Exxet. Rituals allow individuals without the Gift to command different levels of magical effects. They may not be as flashy as normal spells, but they have powerful potential. Grimoires are valuable to all those who can use supernatural powers, even if only through rituals. Furthermore, both the Gifted and those without the Gift can benefit from bonding to the supernatural entities known as Sheele.

Reflections of the soul

One of the chapters of Arcana Exxet provides information about the Sheele, also known as reflections of the soul. They are elements of pure magic, manifestations of supernatural power that gained identities when they came into contact with the souls of living beings.

Expert summoners can bind a Sheele to his soul and, in so doing, gain the elemental’s assistance, letting it cast spells for him. Wizards, too, can make use of such bonds as can fighters. The Sheele have capabilities diverse enough to enhance anyone’s skills. Arcana Exxet details the means of bonding a Sheele to your character’s soul, and you’ll also find information about enhancements and improvements available to Sheele, as well as information about the various forms the Sheele take.
