Treaties, Alliances, Dragons, and Betrayal The Excitement of Days of Ice and Fire 2012 Begins This Friday
“Be at my tent by midday. I want you there with my other officers when I treat with the sellsword captains.” Dany spurred her silver on to camp.
Within the perimeter the Unsullied had established, the tents were going up in orderly rows, with her own tall golden pavilion at the center. A second encampment lay close beyond her own.

The Great Houses of Westeros have all sent their emissaries to steer the events transpiring in Essos in their favor. Now, as those agents sail across the Narrow Sea to arrive at the Fantasy Flight Games, their actions will write the dramatic tale of Days of Ice and Fire 2012!
Days of Ice and Fire 2012 begins this Friday, May 18th. Will you meet your foes on the field of battle? Will you form alliances with other houses to topple a common enemy? Or will you sit quietly at the edge of events as the other Houses stumble into your snares?

Plan Your Next Move
It is no easy task to navigate a weekend full of excellent Westeros-themed games. Days of Ice and Fire is a three-day celebration of George R.R. Martin’s fantasy series A Song of Ice and Fire, and the array of events are nearly as epic as the saga itself!
Today, we are pleased to make the weekend’s schedule available for download (pdf, 326 KB). You’ll find abundant opportunities to participate in games of A Game of Thrones: The Board Game Second Edition, A Game of Thrones: The Card Game, and Battles of Westeros. You can also check out the numerous prize drawings, trivia contest, and question and answer sessions with Fantasy Flight Games developers that have been scheduled.

This weekend, fans of A Game of Thrones: The Card Game will have a chance to speak with him, along with developers Nate French and Damon Stone, and learn more about how they approach the choices players make during games and the work of translating a story and setting as rich as George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire into a mechanical framework that breathes with story, surprise, and excitement!
