Study These Unusual Artifacts

Participation Prizes for the 2012 Call of Cthulhu World Championships

The figure, which was finally passed slowly from man to man for close and careful study, was between seven and eight inches in height, and of exquisitely artistic workmanship. It represented a monster of vaguely anthropoid outline, but with an octopus-like head whose face was a mass of feelers, a scaly, rubbery-looking body, prodigious claws on hind and fore feet, and long, narrow wings behind.
–H.P. Lovecraft, The Call of Cthulhu

You don’t need to book passage on a ship or explore strange islands in the Pacific in order to uncover rare artifacts. We’re giving them away to every single participant in the Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game World Championship Tournament at the FFG World Championship Weekend!

In addition to the exclusive prizes we’re offering the World Champion and the tournament’s top finishers, we’re including custom prizes for all participants.

An Incredible Find

On Saturday, November 10th, the best and most enthusiastic investigators in the world will converge on the FFG Event Center to compete in the 2012 Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game World Championship Tournament. The tournament’s top finishers will each earn a set of three wooden domain markers and an uncut card sheet. Then, the World Champion wins a trophy, a one-of-a-kind playmat, and the opportunity to work with the FFG LCG developers to enrich the game with his own card design.

But the eldritch powers infusing the event with spine-tingling energy have spawned prizes for everyone, not just the tournament’s best. Every single player participating in the World Championship event will win both a custom Call of Cthulhu playmat and Call of Cthulhu deck box!

Register Early to Win More

If the weekend’s world-class competition and the exclusive participation prizes aren’t enough to convince you to pre-register now, we remind you that all pre-registered attendees get a free FFG World Championship Weekend T-shirt. We’ll also share more information about the event’s other prizes in the coming weeks, including those available throughout the weekend for pre-registered players who can defeat FFG staff in our staff challenges!

Don’t let your chance at glory pass you by. Come save the world from the Ancient Ones…or show your loyalty to the elder gods by opening portals to realms undreamt of by the masses. Register now for the FFG World Championship Weekend, and make your plans to attend the 2012 Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game World Championship Tournament.
