The Bleeding EdgeCyber Exodus Is Now Available for Android: Netrunner
“I write my own programs because other people can’t keep up.”
–Chaos Theory, g-mod shaper
Cyber Exodus, the third Data Pack for Android: Netrunner The Card Game, is now available at your local retailer!
It’s the bleeding edge or nothing as Cyber Exodus boots new strategies for both corps and runners. With the Data Pack’s cutting edge hardware, programs, resources, ice, agendas, events, and operations, the game’s seven factions gain the means to focus their tactics more tightly or experiment with all-new paths to victory.
We’ve already seen how the cards from Cyber Exodus are derezzing the boundary between possible and impossible. Ice can change subtypes, Shapers can hijack programs and take them for a spin before deciding whether or not to install them permanently, Anarchs can gain extra clicks at the cost of one tag each, and The Weyland Consortium has developed the means to add a nearly unlimited number of subroutines to its ice.

As the release of Cyber Exodus now takes us halfway through the Genesis Cycle, we can truly begin to see the cycle’s impact as it allows us to rewire and rewrite our approach to the cyberstruggles of Android: Netrunner. The deck list below serves to illustrate some of the new strategies brought online by Cyber Exodus and the other Data Packs from the Genesis Cycle.

Chaos Theory is a young Shaper whose approach to the game’s cyberstruggles is almost giddy with experimental enthusiasm. Naturally, that makes her eager to launch into runs as quickly as possible, and this deck takes advantage of her ability to find and assemble the best programs for her rig at a lightning pace. It also takes advantage of her extra MU, directing it toward the deconstruction, destruction, and derezzing of ice via Parasite (Core Set, 12). Further compounding the Corporation’s economic woes as Chaos Theory toys with their ice is the powerful new Criminal event from Cyber Exodus, Emergency Shutdown.
Clearly, Chaos Theory has all the talent and the tools she needs to win, but does she have the foresight and wisdom to avoid falling into corporate traps?
