As she watched in frank disbelief a voice old & evil whispered in her ear Luna betrayed you and because of that you are dead, however I will show you that death is only a beginning & not an end, nor is it a barrier to true revenge.......

The Oasis of Ifonaris is not a very impressive place a small town on the Harbourhead veldt north of the great deserts of the south, but it is civilization with its inns & pleasure house its temples both to the Immaculate's, the Sun & to the Cattle god Ahlat & its market all built of solid mud brick  around the central Oasis. Its people the Shayanti ifonari are rich and feel safe behind the thick mud brick walls of their town. Are they perhaps not but the warriors of Totikari surround them, out number them & have reason to hate the soldiers of Ifonaris when they come out to raid the nomads cattle.

Still its a more than welcome sight to travellers staggering back from safari in the desert especially if that company was beset by the deep desert tribes & in spite  of defeating their warlord was mauled by them.

The inn of the five directions in Ifonaris is the largest and best appointed not to mention the most expensive. It takes up the whole of a small city block just behind the House of the immaculates & the main market square. it has luxurious accommodation for twelve plus less luxurious for their servants & slaves which can house over a hundred appropriately for their station. It has a large stable and a small private bath house with two bathing rooms set in a small but splendid garden. It has been used in the past by the leaders of Guild caravans passing through to trade.

However the people who Mennemon Jaxut  had displaced to make way for the hunting party where not Guild merely rich but non exalted travellers. That is not to say that they & their retainers forced out into lesser accommodation are happy at the course of events. The do however feel powerless to act against the lords of the realm.

The other main places in the town of Ifonaris are the Inn of sublime delight (reckoned by most to be the second best inn in the town) which is now overflowing with disgruntled high status locals & travellers & their onterages displaced form the The inn of the five directions, The rather lower class drinking den Batzorlz where the troops form the escort are drinking & The pleasure house the lotus palace, which for all its alleging it is a place of general high class entertainment with a library & a small theatre is a brothel with some gladiatorial pit fighting taking place in the open air theatre. It is run by a retired guild caravan master & caters to most tastes.
