In 1861, the northernmost part of the Louisiana Purchase becomes the Dakota Territory. In Western Town it is 1864 and the conquest and development of this rugged and dangerous territory is underway. You take the role of a marshal of one of the towns in the territory, working to establish a foothold in Indiana Country and, if possible, gaining enough attention for a visit from Washington D.C. from a member of President Lincoln's Cabinet.

Each turn you have only three orders to give, corresponding to the activities generated by the occupants of three of your buildings. Developing your town, by constructing new buildings, expands you options. But to win the game, the most important element will be to skilfully choose the buildings you wish to use. Choices made by the other marshals (your opponents) can determine which building will generate their benefits, and which will not! To achieve victory, you will need to keep an eye on the other marshals and anticipate their moves: develop your own town; prepare for Indian raids against you; and cater to the political interest in Washington D.C. Not an easy task, this Marshal business! Do all of this better than your fellow Marshals, and success and prosperity (as well as victory) will be yours in Western Town!

Welcome to the court of Harun al-Rashid, the greatest Caliph of all time! His prosperous reign was the focus of the cultural, scientific and political world of its time.

In the 1970s, the governments of the world faced unprecedented demand for energy, and more pollutive power plants are built every year in order to meet that demand. Now, the impact of this population has become too great, and humanity is starting to realize that we must meet our energy demands through clean sources of energy. Experts in clean, sustainable energy propose projects that can provide the required energy without polluting the environment. Regional governments are eager to make these projects happen.

In the game CO2, each player manages an energy company responding to this need. The goal is to stop the increase of pollution, while meeting the rising demand for sustainable energy - profiting along the way. You will need enough expertise, money, and resources. Energy summits will promote global awareness, and allow companies to share a little of their expertise, while learning still more from others.

Remember, if the pollution isn't stopped, it's game over for all f us.

Dungeon Lords: Festival Season

Their Careful footsteps scrape against the steps as they descend into the depths. The adventurers approach the door to the dungeon lord's sinister lair. The thief inspects the door in the flickering torchlight. No traps. She presses her ear against the rotting wood. All is silent within. She turns to the warrior and gives him a nod.

The warrior raises his shield and lowers his shoulder. With powerful strides he lumbers ahead. But suddenly the door is open: "Yes?" inquires the dungeon lord's sleepy servant. "May I help you?"

The paladin raises his sword and shouts, "Die, foul creatures of darkness!"

"The foul creaturess of darkness are at the fesstival," says the minion.
He pulls an appointment calendar from the depths of his robe. "Shall I put you down for next Thurssday?"

The paladin lowers his sword in confusion. This is not the way adventures are supposed to go. He looks at the warrior. The warrior looks at the thief. The thief looks at the bard. The bard shrugs. "Yeah, I guess Thursday's good. Say, guys, want to go check out the festival?"

It's festival season! And even Dungeon Lords can celebrate because the festival gives you a little more time to improve your dungeon, add new rooms, hire new monsters, and set new traps. You even have new tasks for your minions.

But hose meddlesome adventurers are not sitting idle. Oh, no. They are learning new spells, plotting with two new paladins, and getting chummy with bards, whose magical songs can inspire the adventurers to new feats of heroism. So enjoy the festivities while you can, because when the adventurers finally arrive, they will be that much tougher to defeat.

And did we mention you can now own pets?

The Great Zimbabwe

The Mutapa king struts into the village, followed by a bunch of young warriors herding cattle. "Oondabezitha", he addresses the assembly of kings. "I have brought twelve heads of cattle for the ceremony tonight". The others seem to shrink in stature as he speaks. The star of the king of Mutapa is clearly ascending. They have not brought nearly as much cattle themselves. "Soon, we will all be praying to Obatala", murmurs one of the older Kilwa traders. "The Mutapa will be raising their godless monuments sky high. Perhaps it is time for us to resort to some magic of our own". Then the sky breaks into a thunder and a torrential rain pours down on the assembly. The men scramble while the plains fill with water. The ceremony will be wet tonight...

The Great Zimbabwe is a complex strategy game. Players develop an economy and build trade routes to erect monuments that honour their god. Each of the 12 gods requires a unique strategy to win.
