About the A Game of Thrones: The Card Game North American Championship

Knights, lords, and ladies from across the globe will vie for the Iron Throne in this top-level tournament. A step up from our Regional Championships, the North American Championship tournament is a highly competitive, highly energetic event that annually draws many of the game’s best and most enthusiastic players. This championship event features unique, high-level prize support, and the Overall champion wins free entry to our FFG World Championship Weekend in November as well as the most imaginative prize in gaming, the chance to work with our LCG® developers to design a card for the game!

The A Game of Thrones: The Card Game North American Melee Championship

Compete for the title of North American Melee Champion in this exciting tournament! All participants will receive prizes, and more will be awarded to those who make the top tier.

   
• Check-in for the A Game of Thrones: The Card Game North American Melee Championship tournament begins promptly at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 16th.

   
• The Melee tournament will begin with multiple Swiss preliminary rounds, then cut to single elimination for the final rounds (the number of rounds depending on attendance), with one player claiming the title of A Game of Thrones: The Card Game 2013 North American Melee Champion and free entry to the FFG World Championship Weekend in November.

   
• Players must bring sleeved, tournament-legal decks, as well as deck lists.

The A Game of Thrones: The Card Game North American Joust Championship

Compete for the title of North American Joust Champion in this exciting tournament! All participants will receive prizes, and more will be awarded to those who make the top tier.

   
• Check-in for the A Game of Thrones: The Card Game North American Joust Championship tournament begins promptly at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 17th.

   
• The Joust tournament will begin with multiple Swiss preliminary rounds, then cut to single elimination for the final rounds (the number of rounds depending on attendance), with one player claiming the title of A Game of Thrones: The Card Game 2013 North American Joust Champion and free entry to the FFG World Championship Weekend in November.

The A Game of Thrones: The Card Game North American Overall Champion

Saturday evening, after the conclusion of the Joust Championship, we will announce the 2013 A Game of Thrones: The Card Game North American Overall Champion. This title goes to the player with the best showing in both the Melee and Joust Championship events, and it comes with both free entry to the FFG World Championship Weekend in November as well as an exciting chance to imprint your legacy upon the game. The North American Overall Champion earns the right to work with the game’s developers to design a card to appear in a future expansion!
