At the heart of Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game lies the understanding that we humans are not the only sentient beings in the universe. There are other dimensions we can’t perceive and other realms that lie beyond our experience. Hidden within these realms, existing just beyond our mortal perception, the Ancient Ones and other terrible monsters reside. They are innumerable in form and shape and nature of being, some possess raw power that is simply unfathomable, and their entrance to our world could prove disastrous.

Soon, you’ll be able to more fully confront the strange realities and terrifying Ancient Ones of H.P. Lovecraft’s eerie mythos by participating in Call of Cthulhu Store Championships. These prestigious, local tournaments kick off our 2014 tournament season. They’re also your chance to win custom prizes and advance deeper into our Regional Championship tournaments later in the year.

What Is a Store Championship?

Store Championships are a new premier tier of Call of Cthulhu Organized Play below our Regional Championship tournaments, and bigger than the standard tournaments supported by our 2014 tournament kits.

Our Call of Cthulhu Store Championship kits for 2014 feature the following exclusive prizes:

     
• Champion: Store Championship plaque, custom deck box, and a first place certificate worth a first-round bye at one Regional Championship
     
• Runner-Up: Custom deck box
     
• Top 4*: Four exclusive Call of Cthulhu “Top 4” playmats
     
• Participation: Thirty-two full-bleed alternate art versions of The Night.

 

*Each Store Championship prize kit includes an extra Call of Cthulhu playmat. This extra prize is intended for the tournament organizer but may also be used as an additional prize.

The Store Championship season kicks off FFG’s 2014 tournament calendar, running from February through March.
