Post by: EvilGinger on 02 March 2012, 06:59:04
This is the missed session form the 1/3/12 being re run and I hope giving me the chance to do some sort of preparation for it. Those of you who did remember the 1/03/12 Session please award your characters an additional 500 experience points for this DM failure.

Having recovered from the action at the fortress of the Death Whispers & returned to the Emperors Fiat the team includes some new members as Brother Ulfrik of the Space Wolves has chosen to return to his chapter after being team leader on one mission as is not uncommon with the brothers of the Space Wolves. He has been replaced but the team is yet to meet his replacement as has Brother Maleficus of the Storm Wardens who is still in the care of the Grey Angels having been especially terribly injured in battle with the Xenos foe.

He has been replaced by a brother from the Grey Angels a Tactical Marine called Agrios Ferrio about whom like his chapter almost nothing is known. However dispite these changes there is no rest for the Team and as this message is recorded they are on route to the orc infested planed of Exelliror Minoris where they are to recover something on the request of the high chamber of the Inquisition they are yet to be briefed as to exactly what.

to be continued.....

Over four hundred years ago an orc warraaagh! exploded out of no where into the quiet imperial backwater world of Exelliror Minoris how they got there was never determined in the short time the worlds deferences managed to hold out against the surprise assault  but the little information which was obtained suggests that the orcs did not come from space as they usually do or form a residual population already on planet but just appeared seemingly out of now where.

Till now this has been explained by inferring panic amongst refugees & confusion amongst the planetary defence force coordinators in the face of the sudden shocking assault which missed an initial landing from a rock or a small space hulk. However now the Inquisition of the Ordo Zenos have a theory and they want Deathwatch to go into the apparent area of the start of the original invasion & investigate as if the theory is true then no imperial world is safe form such a surprise attack & all the defences in the imperial arsenal can simply be avoided......
