Title: Breifing 1 operation Ghosts in the night (Lychamid system) Post by: Hard Rain on 26 September 2009, 15:07:14 Briefing
The inquisition has received reports from an outlying ore processing station X117-335, in the M34.666/6 “Lychamid” system which lies on the outer edge of the cluster not far in inter stellar terms from the M34.667/5 where the station Zebra is located, of random psychic events. This would not normally bother the inquisition at your level. As most reports of Psychic Phenomena of this type, turn out to be nothing more than miners superstition and over active imaginations and are best weeded out by local agents. The problem here is several fold. T
Primus Travel to station X117-335 find out if there is any truth behind the reports and deal with it if there is. If there isn’t arrest the Cleric for disrupting the Emperors Peace and bring him back for the Ecclesiarchy to deal with. I am aware that this would be a job for the Adeptus Arbites but the station has been deemed too small to need one and the Arbites have informed us that they don’t want to interfere with Ecclesiarchy matters in any event. Secundus This is a house D’vion station which the inquisition has had no regular access to and it is suspected that the house D’vion is involved in heretical activity. The House D’vion’s agents have been caught in the act on occasion but the house has always managed to deny involvement successfully claiming their agents where acting on there own initiative. House D’vion is far too powerful and well connected for even the Inquisition to act against it without very good evidence this is an opportunity to gather such evidence so do so if possible so long as you don’t prejudice the primary objective thereby. Expect House D’vion to be aware of this possibility and to be on their guard against it Insertion The team will travel to the target upon Imperial frigate Son of Thunder whose navigator has recently plotted a jump to Vorres prime and could reverse the manoeuvre with alacrity. Landing on the station would be via an Aquila class Lander. The Imperial frigate Son of Thunder would appear to leave the station to continue its patrol it will in reality withdraw to a Sensorium null point within strike distance of the station. Here it will go to silent running but be able to provide heavy support if required (within one standard hour) Support
Normal: The team will be picked up by the Inquisitorial courier Belisarius one standard month after insertion along with any prisoners Emergency: Call up the Imperial frigate Son of Thunder to provide cover and attempt to escape via the Aquila Lander. Title: Re: Breifing 1 operation Ghosts in the night (Station X117-335) Post by: Hard Rain on 29 September 2009, 00:33:45 The Station X117-335 is a small station based on prefabricated units built according to STC template M33.950.1009 on The Mythron Forge World Minor and widely disseminated through out segmentum Pacificas most commercial or civil orbital structures not built into planetoids in the sector are based on various configurations of these prefabricated units. Role The station exists to act as a collection point for ores mined with in the wider system and has a primary processing plant aboard according to the information we have from the Adeptus Mechanicus. This plant their records reveal exists to concentrate valuable ores prior to transport and is staffed by Adeptus Mechanicus supplied techservitors and attended for all necessary rituals of maintenance which are to sacred for these to perform by one or more of the Itinerate tech priests who attend this an other outlying stations for just this reason. Lay out The exact lay out of station X117-335 is not on record but the majority of the station is given over to storage and the concentrating plant described above. Its population is small for such a station estimated at less than ten thousand and such information we have is that population is mainly concerned with support of the scattered mining operation and the transhipment of concentrated ores out of system. House D’vion has a charter both for mining in system and for transhipping ore out of system. The exact number of vessels which are allocated to this is not on record. However it is on record that no non house captain has ever been sub chartered by the house for this task. Some of the supply ships coming into the system are free traders or from minor mercantile houses but none recorded have been from within this subsector all have been ships classed as passing through. Augur sweeps by the Son of Thunder revealed that the stations ore bunkers where full of heavy and super heavy metal ores mostly the latter. The significance of this is unclear but this was not known previously as the House D’vion pays its imperial tithe in scrip rather than kind according to Ministorum records. Augur sweeps also revealed several small in system craft docked with the station but no warp craft. Armament The station is armed according to records with ten batteries of point defence pulsed plasma cannon covering all approaches and its landing bays have standard anti hostile landing weapons grids. Augur sweeps by the Son of Thunder confirm this. This level of armament is entirely in keeping with a station of this type. Armour As can be expected the station is sturdily built but has no additional armour fitted and no void shields according to Ministorum records and the Augur scans by the Son of Thunder confirm that this is still the case Title: Re: Breifing 1 operation Ghosts in the night (Station Personel) Post by: Hard Rain on 29 September 2009, 17:30:52 Personnel
It is important to note that the inquisition knows relatively little about any member of house D’vion and is forced to rely on what the hose has reported through the Ministorum which may of course not be accurate as the House is unlikely to report information to its detriment or be over lavish with detail. House D’vion Dylion D’vion Station commander, a qualified ships master and previously listed as master of several of House D’vion’s larger ships. Has no criminal record according to subsector and Sector records though five years ago some of his crew where executed by the authorities for dealing in Kroot eggs a zenos “foodstuff” believed connected with the foul Kroot mercenaries. Investigations failed to connect him to the affair but the inquisition believes that the matter was not properly investigated by the Arbites and local authorities at the time but was unable to reopen and continue the investigation. He has been in command of the station for four years. Castor Zuvrex Forge master has all the correct qualifications and initiations to run the pre-processing operation on station X117-335 and is a lay member of the Mechanichus in good standing. There is no inquisitional record of this man, but according to subsector Ministorum records he has been in post a little under twelve years being brought in when the House D’vion took over the station form the owners of the previous charter who had gone bankrupt several years before. Zylas Master at arms reportedly a former imperial guardsman from Secundus Major with a long but unremarkable service history according to the records held by the Ministorum locally though the Inquisition cannot confirm any of this and would like to note that all this information was provided unconfirmed by house D’avion to the Subsector Ministorum. Attempts to confirm this have taken too long for the data mined to be included in this report. He is believed to be an abhuman of the kind called Ratlings Reeks D’vion Listed as the director of operations in Ministorum records, these records further indicate that he gained experience as a more junior manager in other House D’vion mining and ore processing operations. From his title it is presumed that he manages the whole operation here. He was wanted at one time or some one of the same name was for killing a trader in an illegal duel, the case was dropped after it was proved that he or the other person with the strikingly similar name had been misidentified as the culprit. Kepler Mores Minor noble man from Vorres prime the House Mores are known to be impecunious and he is apparently a member of House D’vion by marriage contract. His roll on station is unclear but prior to his marriage he was a member of the Ministorum on Vorres prime with a clean if unspectacular record. It is presumed because of this that he works in some sort of administrative role. Adlys D’vion Listed as The port master other than that there is no record of this man in Ministorum records, he has according to those records been in post for four years. Ecclesiarchy Pentros Vela Vorres A lineal descendant of the Great Vorres and closely related to both the subsector governor and the planetary governors on all the major worlds in the subsector, he is the senior cleric on station X117-335 having served apparently unsatisfactorily in various some quite senior roles throughout the subsector. Whist the Ecclesiarchy is reluctant to confirm this there are strong indications that he had been banished to Station X117-335 on grounds of incompetence. The man has a strong faith and follows the conventions of the imperial creed very closely he has a weakness for personal luxury according to sources but there are no reports of him being corrupt in any way Inquisitorial data mining suggests that he is just to stupid and socially inept for the high office which his birth has thrust upon him. Guthram Portix An imperial guard officer in the 112th Vorres regiment who comes from a family who traditionally serves House Vorres he has taken clerical orders but all records indicate that he is supposed to keep Pentros Vela Vorres out of trouble and act as his bodyguard. Sula Reves A junior cleric from Veran appointed as an assistant M’thram Gzanarion An abhuman “blue” from the mountains of Dawn he is unusual in that he has rejected the isolate and feral culture of his kind and is unlike most of them an active and faithful follower of the imperial creed. There is nothing of note known about this young man other than that he is an abhuman and has been in the service of Pentros Vela Vorres since being recruited as an interpreter for an abortive missionary trip into the mountains of Dawn Others Milo Varse Has a charter for running a market on station X117-335 comes from a long line of minor chartered traders from Dawn Tertius has been warned about the selling of illegal goods in markets he has run several times and lost his charter because of this. There is no indication on Arbites, Ministorum or other records that his sins where ever more than that of omission. He buys in regular shipments of food minor luxuries and essentials for the planetoid and other mining teams as seems to be running a legitimate market. Emerikyl Reported to be on station X117-335 is on an inquisition watch list though at some point the reason why has been removed perhaps due transmition error as the entry comes from Cadia. |
