Waterside Community Centre has been our home since 2014 and has provided us with great space at a reasonable price.
Whilst the car park was a boon when we first started there it has since become an ongoing issue with it being nearly full at the start of the events.
Unfortunately, there have been a couple of last-minute cancellations by the venue resulting in Raiders having to re-locate at short notice.

So, the committee has decided to re-locate the event to the Albion Taphouse (Pub) Function room on a permanent basis as from Jan 2025.

The venue has an extensive car park and has the benefit of having Food & Drink available throughout the day at reasonable prices.
Whilst the room is not as big as the current venue, it is large enough to accommodate our needs with space for a few newcomers.

It has decent lighting and the acoustics are much better overall than the current hall. Tables are a decent size and solidly built, the chairs are more comfortable as well.

The Function room is located up a flight of stairs so apologies to anyone who struggles with stairs, that said once up there it has its own toilet facilities located just outside of the room.

Thankyou for your support over the years and hopefully this move will help the event to thrive and keep providing a safe friendly space in which to meet and partake in our hobby.

Regards
The Raiders Committee
