'Iron Triangle' Outpost Pork Chop Hill, Korea, 16 April 1953: Following the swirling melees of the night, the morning of 16 April wore on with both sides feeding reinforcements into the meat-grinder of a stalemate. At 1445 hours lieutenant James Barrows, a division public information officer suddenly appeared in Clemons CP with two staff photographers in tow. Barrows' expectations of a routine camera session following a 'successful' American action' were dashed when Clemons told him to forget the pictures and instead carry a message to Battalion. "We must have help or we can't hold the hill." The message was received within the hour but up the chain of command Division was concerned with whether Pork Chop was worth its price in blood, and the consequences of relinquishing the hill. While higher command dithered it would be up to Clemons' depleted King Company to hold the hill. Clemons gathered his men and situated them on a tight knob on the left portion of Pork Chop Hill. Within this isolated perimeter were three bunkers, and nearby shellholes were also used for cover by some of the men. Eventually it dawned on General Trudeau that the defence at Pork Chop Hill was at what military historian SLA Marchall called, "a final strait of desperation." Yet somehow Clemons and his men held out until nightfall while the generals mulled over what to do...

Again Bravo to the Genius who posted this & or came up with the idea. I like the idea of pass the Bomb but with out doubt the coolest is the version with the wind up bomb.

      On November 24, 1917, 324 British tanks, supported by 8 infantry division, advanced along a 10,000-yard front against the German lines near Cambrai, in Flanders. A combined-arms assault, plus the use of new artillery techniques, initially smashed the German trench line. In several places, the attackers suffered almost no casualties and, by the end of the day, recorded gains of three to four miles. Would it be possible this time to break through to the "green fields beyond"? British euphoria over the success of the offensive was dampened only by the loss of 47% of their tanks of the first day.

      Breakthrough: Cambrai is a two player game simulating the British assault to breach the "Hindenburg Line" between November 20 and December 3, 1917. One player controls the British forces, the other the German forces. The object of the game is to control a certain number of areas on the map or, for the British, to exit units off the map into certain perimeter zones.

      Breakthrough: Cambrai is an area-movement game which uses impulse mechanics where players alternate "mini-turns" of moving or attacking. The impulse nature of the game means little or no down time for each player while waiting for the other to complete a move or attack.

    In this game, you are master builders working on the families' construction commissions for such towers. You build the towers from different-coloured bricks you receive from the game's cards. But be careful: once you've started construction on a tower, you must keep erecting it every turn, or it will be torn down as abandoned construction.
