Saturday 19 April

We played Arkham Horror with the Dunwich expansion added.

The Dunwich Horror board itself adds onto the main board without any problems.
The additional Arkham location and off world encounter cards add a pleasant change to the main game.  Having gate bursts at locations with elder signs means you cannot rest for a second in Arkham.

The only problem was with 3 players we didn’t make the train journey to Dunwich because it was so busy in Arkham.  Though the Dunwich Horror nearly did wake up, the Ancient one called Nyarlathotep awake first (Arnu’s fault) who promptly devoured this character.

It was then left to Zarniwoop & CrazyFrog to save Arkham, which for the first time ever we defeated the ancient one.  Well more like hit round back of head, because you know you can never fully defeat an ancient one they will always be waiting in the shadows.

Though I liked the Dunwich expansion I think its best used with more players 5+ so the party can split up (never a good idea that) and tackle both locations at the same time.

Looking forward to the next Arkham game soon.
