Hi there. I have suggested 29th December as a Board Games Day somewhere in Burton / Derby / Findern - if possible not in a pub!! - It depends on venues etc.. , but I would have thought that with the right line up of games and so on we could expect a reasonable crowd (say 15 - 20 people maybe?).

I understand Dave is looking into this? What do people rekon should be on the games agenda?

I have a couple of nice simple games:

Tannhauser - A miniatures battle game - which looks quite good, with a simple but innovative line of sight system, a nice gothic / eldritch horror / nazi's type back story.

Thebes - a really simple and good fun explore / earn kudos / excavate artifacts type game which is suitable for all ages - I had a great game with my wife and my 10 year old the day I bought it and it is now firmly established as a fave...

Settlers of Catan - maybe a Settlers tournament? with a prize? Everyone likes Settlers....

Federation Commander - Had it for ages but haven't found anyone to play it with yet  Lips Sealed

Pirates / Axis & Allies Minis / Dreamblade   - loads of people like these relatively quick and simple games.....

Fair Point,

It was just a list to provide options as depending on numbers we may need several games on the go!..
