I speak only of the Evilerginger who is coming

As its not that long to B&P20 ( in terms of spare time to do stuff if not actual days) what are we all going to be doing for it and what celebrations do people suggest we should have because its the 20th one??  I think Phil and Sally deserve something NICE for being mad enough to run it for the last twenty years...

So what does every one think?

My suggestion is to run a Naval battle for Phil on the Sunday and do something involving wine and Ratty's for Sally Perhaps a presentation for them both.

I agree with the idea.

However questions it raise's are

Who plan's / organise's it
Do you take donation's
There are a lot of gamers around who may want to contribute.
If its an event during B&P can you get Phil locked into a game for 3 hours approx without being dragged off into something else involved with running B&P, I know there's lots of helpers etc during the event, but Phil is still in overall control of the event.  Based on that I think Sunday Lunchtime / Afternoon is the best time for it.   Saturday is way too busy.

Finally, can Phil see this thread if he log's onto the forum?  Roll Eyes

a number of Points first

I know Phil can read this forum but I also know that he is seldom on it and is not likely to notice the thread much less the spoiler function if we use it to cover up what we are up to & if he does notice well what matters it? all he has done is spoil a nice surprise for being a bit nosy but no harm done besides we can take it to PM's if we relay want to plot quietly.

so if you have an Idea you don't want to post PM me and we will take it form here

1 as for donations yes they are always welcome,  and I will be quite happy to bank them with a responsible person until we need them. I was thinking £5-10 off the top of my head

2 as we all know tying Phil down is difficult but I think the type of game I had in mind A naval battle
is the most likely to keep him busy and B&P runs itself to a degree especially if every one knows its a treat for the usual organisers, or we could do it later perhaps take over the shop on a Saturday so he and sally can have a whole weekend off.

Think on it and we can talk over the Roebuck on Wednesday have a Raiders committee meeting or something.

think on it folks A Devious EvilGinger
