I'm The Boss! The Card Game
Direct link   :   http://www.spiritgames.co.uk/single.php?menu=2&sub=n&game=7498

A game of creating and manipulating a deal so you can get the biggest piece of the action. If the cards don't go your way, spoil a deal and frustrate your opponents by turning the deal from a big profit into a big loss. Through cunning deal-making, and favouring your "Cousins" (and by throwing in some guile and backstabbing too), acquire the most money to prove once and for all that you are "The Boss".

Terra Mystica
Direct link   :   http://www.spiritgames.co.uk/single.php?menu=2&sub=n&game=7479

Terra Mystica is a strategy game with a simple game principle and very little luck involved: You govern one of 14 factions trying to transform the landscape on the game board in your favour in order to build your structures. On the one hand, proximity to other players limits your options for further expansion, on the other hand though, it provides some benefits during the game. This conflict is the source of Terra Mystica's appeal.

Structures may be upgraded to provide even more resources, like workers, priests, money, and power. Build temples to gain more influence in the four cults of fire, water, earth, and air. Build your stronghold to activate your faction's special ability. Expand and build new dwellings to have many workers at hand. Or make sure to have a constant flow of money by building trading houses.

The 14 artfully designed factions, each having unique special abilities, as well as the exchangeable bonus cards allow for a large number of possible game plays that constantly keep this game entertaining.

Against the Odds Annual 2012: Forlorn Hopes
Direct link   :   http://www.spiritgames.co.uk/single.php?menu=2&sub=n&game=7510

The last great "victory" for the Japanese in WWII... Everyone knows how the Battle of Midway totally changed the war in the Pacific. A closer examination suggests that the Japanese tide of victory really "ebbed" when they failed to take Port Moresby. But what campaign really stands as their "high tide?" That would be their conquest of the Dutch East Indies, which represented both the expansion and most especially the securing of vital raw materials (both oil and rubber) that the Japanese went to war to obtain.

A quick look at the story of this campaign suggests the Japanese won easily against the hasty ABDA alliance (American, British, Dutch, Australian), with its varied mix of modern and obsolete weapons and widely differing priorities. But a closer look shows that this was a much closer campaign, stretching the Japanese to complete. With a few breaks, the Allies might have held on.

Now, you can take that "closer look." Can you do better? Find out for yourself. Forlorn Hopes covers the entire two-month campaign for the region, using a system that fully integrates air, sea, and land operations. Derived from the popular titles Chennault's First Fight and Operation Cartwheel (both published by ATO), this game gives both sides difficult choices in facing their different challenges.

The Allies are spread thin and facing multiple routes by which the enemy can attack. They know the maxim that "those who defend everything defend nothing," but deciding what not to hold is difficult. You must make the Japanese pay for every gain. The Japanese face an enemy already in control of much of the battlefield and fighting with their backs to the wall. They have a schedule crunch and must weigh the benefits of using high cost assets to gain objectives. The cost of success at too high a price is long-term failure (and who will tell the Emperor?).

Both players can choose to increase their available forces (with units that could have taken part in the action). But the reinforcements come at a cost in victory points that could tip the scales to the enemy. Both sides are charged with using assets as effectively as possible. This is not an easy win for either side. Forlorn Hopes, delivers the extra size and contents you expect from an ATO Annual. plus an expanded magazine that provides insightful reading into what happened and why it happened.

Bonus Item: While the hunt for the Bismarck is well known in WWII lore, when the war broke out in 1939, the most pressing problem for the Allied navies was to hunt down and destroy the German "panzerschiff" Graf Spee. This "pocket battleship" was designed to be too quick to catch with heavy ships, and too powerful to engage by lighter forces alone. A mini-game enclosed with this issue matches the elusive raider against its historical foes and gives the Allies the option to use additional ships (at a cost in victory points).

Zpocalypse

Zombie Plague Rages Out Of Control

Read this carefully - it may save your life. In the next few days each of the cities on the back of this page will be destroyed by Atomic Bombs. Every one of these cities contains hordes of infected. The United States Air Force hereby warns all civilians to evacuate the indicated cities immediately and save your lives. If you are unable to evacuate, remember to "Duck and Cover." Do not look directly at the blast, as you could go blind from the explosion. Upon successful eradication of the infection, rescue and recovery teams will be deployed to round up any remaining survivors. In the unlikely event the nuclear bombardment fails to resolve the current crisis, we suggest you shoot them in the head. Pray to whatever god you may believe in, and may they have mercy on your souls.

Zpocalypse takes place in the gritty aftermath of the Zombie Apocalypse and the resulting nuclear bombardment. Up to four players each control a Squad of Survivors, seeking weapons, supplies, and other Survivors in an attempt to survive the horrors of the Zpocalypse. Played across two to four game Days, each Day consists of four phases: Scavenge, Feed & Fortify, Something's Happening, and Combat. Zombies are controlled by card mechanics and combat is resolved using dice and miniatures on a game board of modular apocalyptic tiles.

Game Components:

1 Victory Point Tracker

20 Double Sided Map Tiles

Rolling dice is never a simple matter, just like ridding your bunker of zombies. How will you know if the zombies have bitten you, or if you have emptied your clip? Inside you will find twelve 16mm six-sided dice to aide you in your fight for survival. Eight dice are blood-splattered red with Z representing the number six. You will also find four blue dice with bullets for the pips and a Click for the number one. Store them in a bloody hand printed bag when you're not using them to destroy the undead!

These can be used with Zpocalypse or added to any board game experience. The included number of dice is enough to support one full squad in Zpocalypse.
