The galaxy is trembling as twenty-five new aliens burst onto the scene. The Cosmic Storm expansion for Cosmic Encounter is now available at your local retailer and online through our webstore. With its new aliens, the addition of Space Stations, and the new win condition of the Space Station Conquest variant, Cosmic Storm ensures the universe will never be the same!

New Aliens

Across the vast expanse of the cosmos, strange quakes and startling explosions make the galaxy an even more dangerous place to wage war. In Cosmic Storm, twenty-five new alien races are making themselves known in the interstellar clash for control.

Will you grump as the Grumpus, threaten the galaxy as the Brute, or hold your territory as the rocksteady Bulwark? Maybe, you’ll even take over the galaxy as the Sloth… eventually.

The wide variety of new aliens and their powers greatly expands your games of Cosmic Encounter, offering new strategies and entertaining new encounters.

Space Stations

Cosmic Storm also adds space stations, which attach to one of your home planets and give you additional powers to use in your encounters!

Additionally, the new Space Station Conquest variant introduces a new win condition as players work to conquer their rivals’ space stations. Each space station you steal in this variant not only grants you its powers, but moves you closer to victory.

Space stations are compatible with all previous expansion variants, so no rules have to be changed to include them.

Batten Down the Hatches

New galactic turmoil has arrived. You can prepare yourself for the new challenges of Cosmic Storm by reading our previews. In them, designer Jay Little offers a few words, and we explore several new aliens and their powers. You further prepare yourself by downloading the rules (pdf, 520 KB). Then, once you’re prepared, pick up your copy of Cosmic Storm from your local retailer, set up your space station, and launch into a new wave of galactic disturbances and epic encounters!
