Seems a strange way to relate to somebody you`ve got nothing against, killing them all the time. Very curious piece of social interaction, I would call that. - Agrajag

Blood in the Streets!

Wealth flows into the city of Baldur's Gate like water. As the rich luxuriate in their mansions atop the bluff and partisans ply their trades on the seep streets, masses of poor labourers swell the slums. Money and power beget political scandal, religious fervour, crime... and murder. No one feels safe on the rain-darkened streets. Strange, foreign gods are beseeched in secret shrines. The city is rife with corruption. And through it all, the body count keeps rising.

Murder in Baldur's Gate is a Dungeons & Dragons Roleplaying Game adventure that can be played using the rules for 3rd Edition (v3.5), 4th Edition, and the D&D Next playtest. Monster and NPC statistics needed to run the adventure for these editions can be downloaded for free at DungeonsandDragons.com/sundering

Components:

64-page campaign guide describing the city of Baldur's Gate and its inhabitants
32-page adventure book describing major plots and encounters
Four-panel, deluxe DM screen with maps and information for the Dungeon Master

Under the Dull Lamplight, in Eternal Stasis, Lies the Neovictorian World.

Trapped in great cities, crafted more like prisons than homes, live the survivors of the Great Rectification. They toil under the shadow of the Change Cage, forever told they are the lucky ones. They alone have been saved from an outside world now ruled by terrifying beasts. There is only death beyond the walls of the seventeen great Change Cage cities.

Inside the cities, the byzantine Administration rules the population with absolute authority. It roots out dissidence with an iron hand, turning neighbour against neighbour in its search for nonconformists and rebels.

But within these cities there is a faint strand of hope Some understand the truth and fight the authority of the Administration. Some fight against the stratified society and seek an end to the eternal stasis. Some even dare to attempt escape...

Within this book you will find:

An in-depth look at life in the Neovictorian world, including the attitudes, traditions, fashions, religion and lifestyles of each of the classes.
A gazetteer of the seventeen Change Cage cities across the world, each with their own secrets and lies to protect, including a detailed guide to the city of Desolation.
Detail on the Administration and its ministries of Truth, Legacy, Hope, Diligence and Defence, as well as the Emperor and the Governors.
Expanded options for Neovictorian characters, including additional traits for Automata and Misbegotten player characters.
The truth about the Change Cage and the mysterious Chuno Ggun, as well as notes for the Gamemaster on running Neovictorian adventures.

Numenera Core Book
Direct link   :   http://www.spiritgames.co.uk/single.php?menu=1&sub=n&game=7048

There have been Eight Previous Worlds.

Each world stretched across vast millennia of time. Each played host to a race whose civilizations rose to supremacy but eventually died or scattered, disappeared or transcended. During the time that each world flourished, those that ruled it spoke to the stars, re-engineered their physical bodies, and mastered form and essence, all in their own unique ways.

Each left behind remnants.

People of the new world - the Ninth World - sometimes call these remnants magic, and who are we to say they're wrong? But most give a unique name to the legacies of the nigh-unimaginable past. The call them...

Numenera

The Ninth World is built on the bones of the previous eight. The game of Numenera is about discovering the wonders of the worlds that came before, not for their own sake, but as the means to improve the present and build a future.

Set in a far, far distant future, Numenera puts a new spin on traditional fantasy, creating something unique to reinvigorate the imagination of gamers everywhere. Player characters explore a world of mystery and danger to find leftover artifacts of the past: bits of nanotechnology, the datasphere threaded among still-obriting satellites, bio-enginered creatures, and myriad strange and wondrous devices that defy understanding.

With streamlined intuitive rules, Numenera allows players to create characters in minutes and puts the emphasis back on story rather than laborious mechanics. Numenera is the latest creation of one of the biggest names in roleplaying games, award-winning designer and fan-favourite Monte Cook.

Numenera Offers:

Streamlined, story-based mechanics
The means for players to create the character they truly want to play
Open-ended gameplay with a strong narrative
A focus on mystery and the unknown, filling players with a sense of wonder
A complete overview of the Ninth World setting, filled with imaginative ideas, useful hooks, interesting characters, and wild locales
A bestiary of more than fifty creatures and characters
Descriptions of hundreds of technological items
Three chapters of game mastering advice written by one of the foremost experts of the topic
Four adventures to kickstart any campaign

Numenera Player's Guide
Direct link   :   http://www.spiritgames.co.uk/single.php?menu=1&sub=n&game=7049

Strong, Fierce Glaives.
Reality-Bending Nanos.
Jacks of all Trades.

The characters of Numenera are varied and intriguing - and there are so many options! Even after you choose to be a glaive, will you be a Charming glaive who Leads, a Learned glaive who Wields Two Weapons at Once, or a Graceful glaive who Rides the Lightning?

Create characters, explore the setting, and learn the basic rules in this inexpensive player's alternative to the Numenera core book. It's perfect for getting a taste of the game, having an extra rules and setting reference on hand at the gaming table, or for game masters to hand to new players. The Payer's Guide is a fantastic, ready resource for anyone playing Numenera, and a wonderful introduction and teaching tool for the game.

The Numenera Player's Guide offers a lot in a small package:

An overview of the exciting Ninth World setting
The basic rules to play Numenera
Everything needed to create characters in a step-by-step process
A variety of options that allow players to create the characters they desire

Given there is going to be an interregnum in the near future in Walrus's more than brilliant Hackmaster whilst he settles into his new job - well done him. I will get a copy of Murder in Baldur's Gate & run it with Hackmaster in the Gap.
