Here we saw a charming fusion of Hobgoblin & bugbear courting and marriage rituals before High King Rappel manfully entered the Narrows to recover the legendary crown of the warlord confrunting many of the dire perils of the underdark

to be continued......

I thought it was very romantic.

[edit] In the poor girl's defence, some points;
It's not like Rapple thinks Bugbears are innately hideous. Why, his most treasured (and secret) possession is a little Bugbear plushie!

As I see it, Rapple has just been married to an amazonian warrior princess. The noteworthy features of a bugbear are that they have claws and faintly bearlike noses, and swept-back ears. Really, they are just tall, strong and rowdy (hob)goblins.

Now, I have some images. Technically, this isn't 100% accurate to the looks of a DnD Bugbear, but these images, I believe, are quite a fair representation from the goblinoid perspective.

Maybe these will take some of the sting out of the situation?  Smiley
More-or-less Safe For Work. I believe the Bugbear in question is a fertility-priestess. More images exist, and of similar by the same artist. None are remotely SFW, though.

lancelot? The name of the bugbear plushie?

Anyway, I really really would LOVE to know what Rapple expected as his wife when he issued the call for a strong unique female to marry. You're  bloody hobgoblin, females like that dont exist in your culture, unless they're as Drizzt like as possible.
