The 2012 Fantasy Flight Games Regional Championship season is almost upon us! This year, from April through June, retailers and tournament organizers will host Regional Championship tournaments for A Game of Thrones: The Card Game, Call of Cthulhu: The Card Game, Warhammer: Invasion The Card Game, and Dust Tactics.
Regional Championships are major tournaments supported by Fantasy Flight Games. These exclusive events are great opportunities for players to meet with enthusiastic and top-level opponents to prove their worth in an exciting tournament environment.

For players
Regional Championships give you the chance to meet with the best and most enthusiastic players in your area. When you attend a Regional Championship, you’ll meet other fans of the games you love and compete to prove your worth on the field of battle. 
Test yourself against your peers for prizes, bragging rights, and above all, fun!
In 2012, in addition to the prizes available at the Regional Championship events, players are competing for something more. The top player at each Regional Championship wins a first round bye and free entry to a weekend of global competition at the 2012 FFG World Championship Weekend, November 9 – 11 in Roseville, MN.
Regional events are great ways to connect with new players, reconnect with friendly rivals, and discover new gaming groups. If you’re interested in participating in a 2012 Regional Championship event, be sure to check our website on March 12th when we announce the venues that will be hosting these prestigious tournaments.

For retailers and tournament organizers
Only a limited number of venues will be selected to run Regional Championships. These tournaments are excellent chances to rally interest in your favorite games and grow your local gaming community. Regional Championships are prestigious and high-profile, with advertising directly on the Fantasy Flight Games main website. These events offer a structured and competitive play environment, and players travel great distances to participate in Regional events. Even if you have never hosted a Fantasy Flight Games event before, you can still apply. Now is your best opportunity to play a major role in the Fantasy Flight Games tournament schedule, so apply today!
Regionals season will run from April through June. Applications should be sent to organizedplay@fantasyflightgames.com by March 8th at 2359 GMT (Greenwich Mean Time). A full tournament kit (including prize support) will be made available for purchase to approved hosts. All Regional Championship venues will be announced by March 12th, and players will make their plans to travel to these stores to participate in these exciting tournaments.
