Cross the Narrow Sea
Days of Ice and Fire 2012 will feature tournaments, open play, and a host of other events focusing on A Game of Thrones: The Board Game Second Edition, Battles of Westeros, and A Game of Thrones: The Card Game! Meet and interact with the games’ designers, try your wits in our trivia contest, or test your mettle in one of several exciting tournaments, including the world debut of a unique new A Game of Thrones: The Card Game strategic team challenge!
However, Days of Ice and Fire offers an experience well beyond competition. This is your chance to celebrate all things related to this vibrant setting, and you’ll be surrounded by other enthusiastic fans of George R.R. Martin’s fiction and the immersive games that translate his world to the best of board, card, and tactical gaming!
Players coming for games of A Game of Thrones: The Board Game Second Edition will be the first to play Dance with Dragons, an exciting, new scenario that recasts the game’s intrigues later in the time frame of A Song of Ice and Fire. This scenario will be available in a few months through our Print on Demand service. If you attend Days of Ice and Fire, you can be among the first to play. All attendees can participate in a weekend-long event in which they can help their House win the Iron Throne and a Dothraki feast! Win a chance to play the A Game of Thrones: The Board Game with FFG’s CEO and the game’s designer Christian T. Petersen. Vie face-to-face for the Iron Throne! More of your favorite FFG developers will also be on hand to discuss strategies and answer questions, including A Game of Thrones: The Board Game’s Jason Walden, Battles of Westeros’ Rob Kouba, and A Game of Thrones: The Card Game’s Damon Stone. Finally, you can always immerse yourself in your favorite game or sit in at a learn-to-play table to experience the challenges of A Song of Ice and Fire in a different format.
A Game of Thrones: The Card Game Regional Championship
Days of Ice and Fire will also host the 2012 A Game of Thrones: The Card Game Regional Championship! Players can expect to face some of the greatest and most enthusiastic competitors from this and neighboring regions. Participate in the Melee and Joust tournaments, and try to prove your right to sit the Iron Throne!
